Summer Solutions Pre-K
Pre-K Math and Language Arts is for students entering kindergarten. Parents can help their children to bridge the gap between preschool and kindergarten with Pre-K Math and Language Arts. During kindergarten, children will begin to print upper and lower case letters and will master number names and counting. They will be expected to sort and classify objects according to attributes, identify shapes, add and subtract numbers, understand and speak in sentences, identify words that name objects, and distinguish shades of meaning in words. Summer Solutions
Pre-K presents and reinforces basic skills needed to prepare a child for kindergarten, including recognizing and forming letters and numbers, understanding consonant and vowel sounds, identifying shapes and colors, sequencing story events, extending patterns, counting, and rhyming. Using the summer workbook, students complete 30 lessons of mixed review over a 10-week period, and this ongoing practice ensures retention of the language arts and math skills covered in preschool. By completing just one lesson three days a week, the child will enter kindergarten, ready to begin learning new material right away.
