Grade 8 Common Core Mathematics
Summer Solutions Common Core Math Grade 8 is for students who have completed 8th Grade.
The Common Core State Standards require children leaving 8th Grade to apply properties of integer exponents to generate equivalent fractions; work with powers of ten; perform operations with numbers expressed in scientific notation; compute linear equations with one, infinite, or no solution; work with functions; determine congruence and/or similarity between figures using rotation, reflection, or translation; apply the Pythagorean theorem to determine unknown side lengths or find the distance between two points; and know the formulas for finding the volume of cones, cylinders, and spheres.
30 lessons of mixed review over a 10-week period provide ongoing practice that ensures retention of these important math skills and concepts, which are addressed in 8th Grade. By completing just one lesson three days per week, students enter high school ready to learn new material right away.
